Utility Cost Guide is a free site run by one person, Muhammet Çay, and advertising is meant to help cover its costs. This page explains how that works and what it does not affect.

Ads on this site

Ads are not running on this site yet. When they are, they will be served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners choose which ads to show, and some may be personalized using cookies where the law allows. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ad storage stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner. See the privacy policy for cookie details and opt-out links, or use “Change cookie settings” there at any time.

How ads are labeled

Ads are clearly labeled as advertisements and are kept visually separate from fee tables, calculators and article text. We do not style ads to look like data or editorial content. If you see an ad that seems misleading or inappropriate, tell us at contact@utilitycostguide.com and use the report option on the ad itself.

Advertisers do not influence the data

Advertisers cannot change, add, remove or rank fee records, calculator results or editorial conclusions. We take no payment for listings or placement, and being advertised on the site does not make any company a source. Fee rows come only from official utility and government documents, as described in our editorial policy and methodology.

Affiliate links and referrals

There are no affiliate links on this site at present, and we earn nothing from clicks on any contractor or utility link. If that changes, we will update this page and disclose the relationship on every page where it applies. A paid relationship will never turn an estimate into a quote.
