Estimates and source checks

Calculator results are estimates, not utility or contractor quotes. Fees can depend on your property, utility rules, meter size, capacity, permits, and construction conditions. Verify current charges and requirements with the serving utility before making a financial or construction decision.

Use of data and API

You may reuse factual dataset records with an attribution link as described in our sources and data policy. Public downloads and API endpoints are intended for reasonable use. Cache responses when practical and avoid request volumes that disrupt service or bypass technical rate limits. Do not misrepresent an estimate as an official utility quote or remove source context from a fee.

Ownership and outside links

Our original writing, site design, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Reuse of facts does not grant rights to our text or to third-party source documents. Links to utility and other outside sites are provided for checking sources; those sites control their own content and terms.

Warranty and liability

We provide the site and data as available, without a warranty of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted access, or fitness for a particular project. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Utility Cost Guide is not liable for losses arising from use of the site, estimates, data, or outside links. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and governing law
